After Transgo Kit 2nd Gear Bangs!

installed a transgo reprogramming kit in my 60e some time ago along with a tci servo. wayyyyy to hard of a 2nd gear. figured it was from the servo and kit coupled up. took out servo. still to hard. reduced down to 1 washer under accumulator spring. still hard but at 30-40% throttle only. wide open its quick but not rough, wont chirp tires. but first start in the morning and pulling out in traffic and it will snap your neck with very modest acceleration. baby it and your ok. any ideas from the transmission experts????

i had alan tune it, and asked if he could lower the shift pressure and explained my issue. he says he can only increase not decrease. feel that would only make it worse...

I picked up new filter and gasket so I'm going to try removing the washer first. If it's too sloppy after that, I'll put the servo back and give it a try. If that doesn't work. I'm swapping in a 80e!

Nope. It's been out to do the trans go kit with the front pump mods and valve body stuff but that's it. Well it's got a converter. But shafts and internals are stock.

Yeah, do the new filter, gasket, and washer removal. Every Trans-go shift kit I have installed has ended up with no washer cause even one is too much.

I would honestly leave the tranny pressures where they are. If you want firmer shifts after you take out all washers, then manually turn up the EPC. I think it uses a really small Alan (hex) head wrench. If you do this, only turn it like a 1/4 of a turn. If it is still too soft, crank it up another 1/8th of a turn or so. I know that its a PITA to keep on draining the fluid and dropping the pan to get the correct firmness, but it the tranny pressures are stock in the tune and the EPC has not been adjusted, then a 1/4 to a 1/3 of a turn is prolly fine.
