1993 OBS Speedometer and Cruise Control wiring

I've been running around with no cruise for the longest time so I thought I'd get around to fixing it. The answer was very simple with help from GasGuzzler. Access the DRAC unit and cut the light blue wire with black stripe. Cut the red wire with white stripe. Take a butt connector and stick the two wires in one end and crimp. Take the speedometer signal wire from the PCM and crimp it to the other end. Job done.

BTW, the cruise control cable I used is from a 1998 C1500 with a Vortech V8.

PS, I had on here before to remove the DRAC box entirely but the brake system seems to use the DRAC module for testing.

Not sure, does the 95 have the DRAC module?

The main thing is connecting the red/white wire to your current speedometer wiring and viola! you're done.

Get Greg to email you the crap I printed then scanned and emailed to him.

Too many computers and hardware to make it work easily so that's the way.

PM me tomorrow Jon and I'll look at the '95 schematic books upstairs (GM only has online schematics for non-engine stuff 98+) and see if it looks like Greg's '93.

    Question Hmmm...

Would a '96 have a DRAC and a VSSB? Or by '96, were they built into the engine computer itself?
