Smile 1971 c20 5.3 exhaust manifolds that work

Hello, i am in the middle of putting a 5.3 in my 71 chevy truck. After reading the fellows who cut or notched their frames, i search for another solution. My 5.3 sits almost where the original motor did. The 5.3 manifolds would not work, The driver side would go in but marginal. the pass side , forget it. Just by luck, I found a set of stock manifolds of a 2006 SSR. with a 6.0 . They fit perfect and have no egr. I seen that stans headers offers a header for the SSr , . For those who cannot recall the SSR, it was a short lived vehicle from 2003-2006. It was built on the trailblazer size. I will have more info as well as questions as I work on my project. This is a work truck. I put the NV4500 2wd in. I also used the lower frame/ motor mounts off a 2000 chevy truck. Used driver sides only. (2) I took 5 inch tube 10 inches long, 3/16 thick, and made a wedge that made the frame area paralel. That way I could adjust the motor any direction. I hope this helps someone. Alan
