    worth the money???

how much of a headache is it to rework a harness to be a stand alone harness? i am in the process of putting a 6.0/4l80 in my 83 swb cheby, and dont know if i want to spend the 575 for nelson to rework then another 375 for them to tune it, or just have them tune it and i do the harness rework? please give me your insights. As a side question, which motor mounts do i need so i can use my drive shaft that i already have? Truck has a th350 as of now.

Just an FYI, it's $450 to rework a harness.

Like Banker said, take your time and label everything, it'll work out.

Here is a useful site about converting gen III harness to standalone. It has pin outs by year, pictures, intructions. I just did mine it was alot of work but it turned out well. Like said above if something doesnt work then your hunting wires... That said dont be scared to do it though its almost simple with the right wiring diagrams.

This is what mine looks like im about %95 done

I am confident in myself doing it, but nelson makes so easy to hook up, but nelson will be the one to do the performance tune, it rocks., thanks for the direction.

If you decide not to do it yourself then check out EAST COAST ENGINES he doesn't have them listed on the site but you can give him a call I think his harnesses were around 300.00. I've got one and it works great.
