can someone go into vb and put 0 so the mininum word will be 1 or 50, a simple search for something comes up negative!!! take v6 to v8 swap this is what you get .

Maybe if you searched, you would have found the search button doesn't work.

problem is if it were any less it would bring back so many results you would be better off just searching thru posts.

a 2 letter search v6 to v8 swap would bring back every post that contains the to. it would be so memory intensive every time someone did a search that you would get a slower forum.
the search function isnt an engine like google or anything which can search for phrases that contain v6 to v8 swap, its a basic word search.

in the advanced search you can limit the forums you search in.

so maybe search in the lsx conversion forums, which narrows it down to 1548 threads, find a decent search word that isnt so vague as swap or to or v8, those words are in almost every thread in that section so a search on them wouldnt help much.

For example, if you search for "V8", it finds no matches. However, if you search for "V8*", you get a long list of matches. This is because the search engine understands that the "*" is a wildcard.

thanks Tiny, yeah i started using wild cards to do my searches, i am not new to forums or running forums, i run 17 of them on my server. but know big deal.. i only posted to maybe help someone else that likes to use the search functions, actually to me it doesnt matter how many threads come up as long as something comes up, anything will help!!!! BESIDES THE MESSAGE I GOT!!!
