Exclamation So here is the plan.

After throwing some ideas around with Kurt I think I have decided in a direction.

    Comp Cam 222/224 - .566/.568 = 112lsa
    Comp 918 springs
    Comp pushrods
    rebuilt trans with 3200 stall
    PS lt's with ORy
    Nelson 93 tune
    Maybe some pulleys.....
    Ported/polished 5.3 heads

I have 115k on my motor do I need a new timing chain or anything else while im in there??????

head studs for shure (might as well spend the money now since you have to get new bolts anyway) and timing chain depending on how much chain stretch you have

Just buy an LS2 timing set and be done. No shims to figure out etc etc etc.

sounds like you know which way to go!! good luck on the build, personally depending on where youre gettin the stall i would go 3600-3800

never heard anything on the n-motion i have a slp doulbe roller and ported oil pump and it was a nightmare to put on took me forever to get the cover not to hit the oil pump. Id be willin to try that n-motion for shure compared to what the slp cost (dont remember right now) its worth a shot also love my arp head studs and i bet there bolts are nearly as good and 100 dollars less

The N-Motion timing set is for a LS2. Just a lot better priced at $85 than everyone else....

Like Zeake said, get the LS2 chain. It's a heavy duty version of what you currently have, plugs right in, and costs less than $40.
