If the guy's name is Oscar Jaurez, purchase at your own risk. He's about that close to you.

Stay away from him he is a scam artist. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He told me my 2006 lq9 had 17k miles on it. he gave me a messed up 2003 lq9 with over 50k miles on it. He promised he sent me 1 set of 317heads and never did. He is a lair and a scammer.

Pick one and well work from there.

Price varies with mileage as I pay more for the lower mileage engines
Price ranges from 1800 to 2300 (oviusly the 21K is 2300)

Let me know what you are looking for and we can help you with delivery to SD

If you look at my feedback, there is alot to say about all the perfetly working engines sold.

15 mins later he emailed me again with this

    Jake
If you feel better waiting till you get a chance to come by and check one out, lets arrange for that.
You can email me before you come, I can let you know what I have in stock that week and I can have one ready for you to see running and a compression tester you can use to measure all 8 cylinders.

After all there is no better feelin than the one of driving home happy with the engine you picked and are satisfied with.

hummm, i have searched here for all the different names he goes by and
some are kind of happy and about 90% are pissed off at him for ripping them off

so i figure if i can check oil pressures and compression in person i may be alright with dealing with this guy

but i will let you guys know what happens in a few weeks when im back in san diego

im up in alaska till the 21st and im moving out from here

also i work in air force vehicle maints, so i know what to look for as far as the reg stuff goes and i used to rebuild trannies before i came in but is their any special ls stuff i need to look for?

my last truck was a 2000 gmc 5.3/4l60e
and i changed injectors and put in a tune and made the exhaust from the stock headers back, and did a little wiring repair, and have read all the ls books i could get my hands on, so i know alittle when it comes to ls motors

on a side note, im waiting for the how to swap ls book to come out in jan 09, as this will be my 1st ls swap but not 1st sbc swap
the more info i can get my hands on the better, and im gonna do all the fab work to make this truck run

thanks for the heads up about this guy

If it’s the Oscar dude, you’re better off getting an Lq4 out of the junk yard, tearing it down and rebuilding it. 2300 is a lot IMO for a 5.3. You can find Lq4's for 1/2 that. Make more power, and torque. As well as respond better to mods. Hell, get an Lq4 bare block, bore it .030 over, get 4.0 crankshaft, and nice pistons and rods, you got yourself a forged 408. I bet you can get the rotating assembly for about that.

engine/tranny/acc/harness for 2g's plus alittle gas money to pick it up in person

ive been watching ls engine prices on ebay and most of them don't come with the acc
and i wouldn't pay that much for a motor by itself but with everything to drop it in, doesn't seem to bad

my 10bolt is from a 93 f/s truck, and im gonna switch it over to 6lug when i shorten it and stick some z06 vette calipers on it with a aftermarket 14in 99plus truck rotor

i already have the 6piston front calipers and rotors, gonna make the brackets out of 3/8's and keeping the straight axle up front

if not i may end up going with
a tbi 4.3/4l60e from the 93 truck in this project
