    Wiring for Speedometer help!!

How do i hook up my speedometer to my 4l80e.
truck was originally a 350/700r4 and the DRAC is built into the cluster.

Do i use the output from the nelson harnees or hook up my factory VSS wires to the rear 4l80 speed sensor.
also i need an input for cruise and RWAL. and i read somewhere they all take diffrent pulse per mile.

i hope someone understands this or has done this on there OBS engine/trans swap.

Hook the VSS up using the Nelson harness and then hook the wire from the gausges to the C2 red connector Pin 50 dk green and white stripe 4000 4K and that should fix the speedo. What year model is your truck, this is for 96-2000

Ah hell, I just read 89 but it's probably close. I can tell you tomorrow though unless someone beats me to it.

The thing is my VSS has 2 wires going to the stock cluster and the nelson harness has one wire. Thats my dilemma

I'd like to have the speedo wired up before I drive it, but we'll c!!

Just hook the one wire up (Green) to the pin I mentioned above and you'll be ok, the other wire is another VSS signal for cruise, the radio or something else.

Ya, that sucks! I wanted to buy a set for my truck a few years back and they said they probably wouldn't produce them.
