    4.8 to 6.0 swap?

im looking for a 6.0 to make the swap instaed of my 4.8, but im thinking a lot about the stock 5 speed that i have, it is the TR-3450, used for standard 4.8's and standard 2500 6.0's. could it hold the power of the 6.0+cam+sts turbo? i wanna do the t56 swap too but not at this time

    any guidance yet?

Got the same set up. Just curious if you've made any progress outside of the forum. I have a TKO in another truck. I am going to continue w. tremec once I commit to the 6.0 swap.

Good luck, it'll be worth it!

I'm not positive on this one, but I believe although they are the same transmission model, there are motor specific "power levels" if you will. I'm just following the same logic as GM's 700R4 tranny in the late 80's and 90's trucks. Although technically the same model, I quickly shredded the V6 700R4 and had to replace with one from a Suburban behind the stock 350 I put in my '89 S10 (even though the V6 trans bolted right up, being the same model). Point being, although they are the same model and identical on the outside, there may be internal differences that make the difference between a great ride and a stationary truck, believe me I know. Sounds like a great project though
