    Turn signal problems!! "too fast??"

I recently tinted my rear tail lights, In order to be able to see them during the day I installed some led bulbs in them. The brake lights work perfectly, but when i use the turn signal the lights blink extreamly fast, but work as normal with regular bulbs. I got pulled over and was given a warning about the lights blinking too fast. So what can be done to slow down the turn signal speed.

I thought blinking too fast meant you have a blown bulb.
When I drove mine without the bed the signals went real fast.

That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. They must not have a lot to do if they are pulling people over for that!! Sorry to jack your thread.

    No problem.

Yes, that is true. But all of the lights are working. Just blinking really fast.

you are correct the lighting system is drawing (less) current and the truck does think a bulb is out, find a resistor

go to Radio Shack and get the individual resistors.
Remember to get the higher wattage resistors, so you don't smoke them

Well, you can either do resistors or just go ahead and load your blinker circuit with all LEDs. Since LEDs draw so much less current than regular incandescent bulbs, it tricks the blinker regulator into thinking that there is a bulb missing--hence not completing the circuit at the specific amperage. I put all LEDs in all blinker lights in my truck and it blinks normally--and looks badass too! I just don't like having to splice into the factory wiring harness to install resistors. You can do it either way---all LEDs or add resistors.
