Couldn't find any info on an easy way to do it, or pics of anyone elses mounts, so Here is my setup, on a 28" radiator.

Fan (I think it's mounted upside down in my truck, but it doesn't really matter and it fit's better this way.

Lower bracket (1-1/4"x 1/8" flat stock)

Lower radiator support, notice the nut clips where the lower bracket mounts, and the two notches made to clear the bolt heads where the fan bolts to the bracket.

Upper bracket, 2 pieces of 1-1/4"x1/8" strap and a length of 1" angle, plus two small risers to connect the strap to the angle.

All mounted to the fan, ready to go in.

Installed, the top bracket attatches to the fan w/ (3) 6mm bolts, and (2) 1/4" bolts on the bottom.

The brackets look OK IMHO, nothing I'm real proud of, but they work, are simple and pretty solid.

I will be making a cover w/ my sheetmetal brake that will hide the radiator mounting brackets and the fan mount brackets out of some steetmetal painted to match the truck, or maybe some aluminum sheet.

The fan brackets? Trip to the steel shop, angle grinder, welder, and about an hour of my time.

I never said I was gonna make new ones! Just a cover to conceal them

Very nice work. My '96 is exactly the same, 28" radiator & all. I used the same LS1 F-Body fans as well. I just pushed the bottom of the fans into the space behind the radiator, which was a nice snug fit, as though it was intended for them. Then I simply fabbed two small aluminum L-brackets for the top of the fans, that I thru-bolted with little 10-32 locknuts to the highly trimmed back, original black plastic fan shroud top half. This original black plastic fan shroud top covers the core support nicely & also holds the radiator in place, as it did originally.

Looks good, nice job. Did you make the cover? And where did you buy the radiator top brackets? What vehicle did they come off of? Thanks Art...
