    Cool How I did 5.3 to nv3500 5 speed

I'm going to post what I did to mate my nv3500 to my 5.3 since I wasn't able to find any reliable info when I did my swap. I bought the flywheel from oreilys. The pilot bearing is an 43.3 mm od with 15 mm Id that is a special bearing that I only been able to find at NAPA. This fits in the end of the crank with no spacer of any sort. The release bearing may be hard to find, but I found one on ebay with this part number 1377c. I used my stock clucth and pressure plate from a 95 chevy truck. With these parts I didnt use any sort of flywheel or pilot bearings spacers and cost less than $100. If you find this useful let me know.

    Flywheel Oreilys $60 NFW1050
    Pilot Bearing Napa $20 6302-VSP43
    Release Bearing Ebay $20 1377C

    Thanks for the info!
Been looking for part numbers for a while. Just ordered everything at just $100.
Now to pull the motor and put this in!

if you're doing an LS engine to a NV3500, all you had to do was look at my build thread. 4.8 flywheel & clutch kit bolted right on to my 5.3. been running 16,000mi with no problems whatsoever
00 FRC - just top end, exhaust, and a hot-air intake
    99 Sierra - 5.3 / 5spd
↓ click the pic for the build ↓

It's 4x4 with 305 but 350 pressure plate should work also

What, is, the difference between the throw out bearing listed....than the stock 3500 throw out bearing? I have read you can use the stock one. Just wanna double check before I mate 5.3 and 3500
