can you just delete it or do you need it?I AM SWAPPING THE 6.OL into an 82 2wd blazer

just wondering were do I need to hook it to in the truck.I have seen guys drill and tap a fitting into the water pump but i do not want the filings in the pump any other options?

with the power steering pump am i gonna have to replace it or will it work with the older truck?the parts truck had a hydro-boost set up so does this mean i need to swap it for one from a non hydro set up?

    thanks all

The steam hose actually returns directly to the radiator on the newer trucks. If you can build a tee fitting you can splice into the radiator hose, heater hose or anywhere else that the water runs through. If your radiator has a small return fitting below the cap like mine does, you can return the water there. I just didn't like the extra hose running around the engine compartment so I tapped the pump housing.

The power steering pump will work, you'll just have to adapt the hoses to fit your Blazer. They use the same pumps to power hydroboost.

I plugged my steam hose off because you really don't need it according to AFR Heads and the guys over at GMPP. I've never had a temperature increase and the truck runs great! If you think about it, the only reason for that line is to heat the throttle body. If you feel uncomfortable do like Greg said and "T" it in.

My steam hose connects to the port on the radiator that the heater core used to return to. I had to adapt the size. The power steering hoses from the camaro donor hooked up to my steering gear box with a minor reforming of the metal lines.
