As title says , I'm going to be converting my lovely LS1 truck over to running on used french fry grease ! CAn't wait to have that delicious smelling exhaust ! They say it smells just like frech fries or whatever else it was used to cook with . Maybe I'll go out back and rob the grease trap at the doughnut place too . What would you guys rather have - french fry exhaust or Krispy Kreme exhaust ? I'm afraid that if I use Long John Silvers grease that I'd have too many stray cats hanging around under the truck because of the shrimp and catfish smell .Course , all you guys out there in the the land of tex-mex might like to burn used flauta grease . To each his own ! Wonder if Allen can come up with a special "frygrease" tune for me ! All feed back appreciated as usual ! http://greasecar.com/

I hear the best cooking oil is from asian places. They don't ruin the oil, it's disposed of before it possibly gets scorched.

i thought you had to have a diesel to run vegetable oil, or are you going to put a diesel in your truck.

im sorry but id never run anything like that through my truck. Octane has a smell better than any fast food joint could conjure up. I couldnt look myself in the mirror if someone got hungry off my exhaust fumes.

Just having some fun I came across that website and thought I could generate a little controversy and other assorted WTF reactions ! It would be interesting to try with an old rabbit diesel or some other such car . By the way , on Mythbusters the other night , they used an older Mercedes diesel that got 33mpg on diesel to try this on . They used actual unrefined used french fry grease and the car got 30 mpg . Not bad for something you'd throw out .
