Thread: price of wireing harnesses

    i was wondering if anyone has a idea of the price of a wireing harness that would work for putting a 4.8 engine into a 1993 chevy silverado with the 350. if anyone could tell me i would appreciate it. also allen if maybe you could tell me what yours run i would appreciate it and thanks in advance.

    $500 - $750... depends on where ya go. Speartech's the highest I know of (aside from Painless), and LT1Wiring wasn't far from that. I think Allen's is cheaper, but I'd PM him or call the shop to ask specifically. I'm sure there's a common cost, but that probably depends on any extras you might want (i.e. fuse block to fit your app, etc).

    Steer away from any harness that requires you to use the 97-99 PCM.

    Hi,

    Our harness is &#036;650 and comes covered in expandable mesh or heatshrink. It also includes an OBDII connector, GM fuel pump relay, 4-fuse block, outputs for tach and speedometer, and an easy three wire hookup (ground, batter, ignition).

    Personally, I would go with Allen&#39;s. You know it would be good quality, and if you get stumped trying to put it in, he is easy to get a hold to ask him questions. JMHO
    2004 Chevy/Regency RST, 6.0L LQ4, custom built NV MG-5 tranny by local Tranny Guru, Hurst Shifter, K&N FIPK, stock Regnecy Exhaust, 3.73 gears w/ Eaton Locker, and the Magnacharger huffer topping it off w/ stock pulley... for now

    Allen,does the harness alow for the use of the 4l80e transmission too?

    Ya, sure does, it&#39;s just a different pinout.

    Just let me know which one you&#39;re going to use and we&#39;ll set it up.

    i would like to get one of your harnesses but i also need a custom tune for it, also will your harness allow me to use my stock tranny it is a 4l60e that came in my truck. what would it cost me. thanks alot for what info you have given me.
