Thinking about changing the bog down 3.42 rear to a 4.10 ratio and would like some opinions on estimates of 1/4 mile time reductions? The speed shop that wants to do the install says 8 tenths in the 1/4. Sounds like b.s to me so could I get some real world estimates? Thanks guys!! Hi, I switched from 3.42 to 4.10 in my truck. I'm running 35" tires so it made a world of difference in my take off and all around driving. I don't have any track times for you though.
I know I dropped a full .1 off my 1/8 mile times when I went from 3.08s to 4.10s

Redheartbeat a tenth or second off? I might look at something else for $600.00. If anyone else can chime in on this as well I am going to take the averages of as many as possible. Thanks everyone!
Get a 150 shot of NOS and have some fun! Cheap fun and only costs you when you use it. You can get an NX EFI 150 shot kit new on Ebay for $560.00.

With the gear I only void my rearend warranty nitrous=all drivetrain. It's a new baby only 5000 miles. I hope to keep as much stuff under warranty as possible. Future... who knows I like to go fast!
I know in my previous truck I dropped .8 off my times with tuning, smaller lighter tires and wheels, lowering 4/6 and 4.10s.

I'm running 15.5 to15.8 in the 1/4 depending on temp. right now, I would like to be able to hold my own with the hemi and titan guys I think I will need a little more power. The thing is dog slow from 0 to 20 I think I could get out on foot and do as well. From 20 up or on a slow roll it moves pretty good. Do you think the gear will help? I can't even break the tires loose even power braking it. Slooow to 20! I think most of the stock titan guys are running low 15s that is what I was shooting for oh hell 14.9 really.
