6 liter question
Greetings I'm a newbie here. New to the lsx but not new to wrenching . I have a few questions I hope someone can help. I have a 1995 gmc rcsbss that has a 5.0 /nv3500 and I'm putting in a 6 liter 5 speed in it which came out of an 03 3500 van
1 can I delete the oil pressure sender and the oil level sender down to the pcm without effecting emissions?
2 I can get switched and constant hot from my fuse box under the hood but can I reuse existing relay for the fuel pump which is conveniently in the same fuse box.
3 my truck has no starter relay . Can I work around this (pcm) or do I need to add a relay
4 fuel gauge not reading correctly . I've read this is a problem
Thanks in advance for the insight . Wally

Are you sure you don't have a starter relay? That seems really strange to me. The fuel gauge issue should be related to an issue with the level sender itself, and won't affect the engine running. You will need to go with a higher pressure fuel pump, as the ls will need 50+ PSI, and the TBIs are something like 13+ PSI.

No starter relay in fuse box under hood any idea where it might be? I know about the fuel pump but was curious as to if you or anybody figured out how to make the factory gauge work I have to keep it emissions legal and have read people were having problems getting it to read right unless I'm mistaken

Your fuel gauge works off your tank and gauge. New engine has no effect on that. Just hook up wires from old starter the same way to the 6.0 starter. I would get an adapter so your 1995 oil pressure sensor will fit the 6.0 so you can see oil pressure on your gauge.

thanks for the clarification on the fuel gauge I have read people having problems with it in an obs truck . They must have been referring to later model😊the 03 van I have has a relay and for the life of me I can't find a relay on mine I know 95 is a bastard year from what I've seen on my truck and read about and the chiton manual I have shows to different set ups one with and one without. the pinout on my 03 pcm is showing a wire from the pcm to the starting circuit on the van going to the relay. Will I need it or can it be programmed out?
