just a few minor 80e swap questions.... seriously!

ok so i didnt want to post a new thread over this but i couldnt find by searching. im getting ready to do the 80e swap. already have an 80e out of a 95 1ton van, TC, i know what parts i need to extend the rear cooler line, gonna get a new filter, i have the new HD2 shift kit, trying to find a local spot that can shorten my driveshaft, i will pick up a flexplate at a local scrap yard in the coming days (unless someone here has one at a good deal including shipping!), mickey gave me the round connector repin diagram and i know i need to add the second vss harness and get my pcm reflashed.

need answers on a few things...

    1) im confused on the yolks.... i assume the 60e wont work right? should i just get one for the 80e at the local shop who cuts the shaft? which one do i need?

    2) it would be nice to know the temp of the fluid. im pretty sure the escalade had a sensor for it... how can i add this in? just get the sensor for the escalade and get some fittings and put it in line of the pressure OR return side for an accurate reading??? the pcm should have a few wires for it correct? who sells a tranny fluid temp gauge???

    3) AND THE MOST IMPORTANT, since i plan on turboing it and installing a higher stall TC, im gonna need a bigger cooler than the stock radiator. i figure since im gonna be disconnecting all the lines and all, might as well get the new cooler installed now so i dont have to do it all over again. what are you all using for aftermarket coolers that fit in the relatively stock loacation??? im not gonna run an intercooler since the turbo will be under the bed. plus i have a phantom grill which gains me a few extra inches of clearance up front... what the heck are you guys using for coolers? is it an aftermarket thing or can i just get something from a scrap yard on a stock truck that had one? if so, what year/model vehicle should i be looking for?

im trying to take 2 steps forward/1 back rather than vice-versa... lol any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The driveshaft shop should have the yolk. Its the same as a th400 yolk and comes in several different joint sizes and lengths. You'll need to put the yolk in your trans and bottom it out. Then pull it out 3/4 of an inch to give you some travel. Now measure from the center of the u joint on the trans yolk to the center of the u joint on the rear end yolk and that will give the driveshaft shop the measurements they need to shorten your shaft. I work at a driveshaft shop and when I get caught up this a.m. I'll see if I can get you a part number for the yolk.

anybody know what the thread size/type is on the trans cooler lines are? id prefer to get a some inverted flare fittings that thread on rather than cut the line and use compression fittings. i know the line is 3/8 but im betting the threads are metric.... anybody know?
