Running New harness thru obs firewall?

I've searched n searched and can't really find if its ok to run the new wiring thru the stock hole on the pass side firewall. I'm mounting the PCM and fuse block inside. I won't need the factory block looking grommet anymore correct?
Any pics of this would be great!

As long as your wire is long enough you can mount the PCM and Fuse block in any location you want. I can't see any reason why you can't mount it inside the cab.

I have not seen any pics that i recall online with it mounted inside the cab

Yes it reaches to the old PCM location going thru that square hole. I don't need the original PCM in there do I?? Or that square plug/grommet? Why don't everyone put the new one in the cab? Thx guys ill be starting my thread soon and throw up lots of pics!

I plan on running mine like u said. Just looks 100x cleaner to me. Some say I don't need the 94 computer and some say I do to run abs, ac. I guess I will find out. If u plan on using the factory square grommet, it's a huge PITA to get that sealer out of it. Post pics if/when u do it and if u switch grommets. I'm interested. We're u a member on s10 forum?

Yes it will look much better. I deleted my abs and had the AC switch added to my psi harness. I read there is a few wires that must be kept. Ill just cut and splice to get rid of the grommet.
Yes I was on s10 forum and most other truck forums.

Thought so, name looked familiar. I need to order my harness soon from NP, they may be able to add some things I need to help delete my 94 computer.

One word of advice I can give you is, don't cut any wires or remove the old computer until you see everything working correctly. I'm keeping my 95 computer because of the abs,ac, speedometer.

I wont need ABS, A/C, or my factory speedo. Will my power windows and headlights still work?
