Im putting my double springs in. The valve seals that came with my comp kit dont have the lower portion on them like the factory ones. It looks like the factory seal acted as the valve seat. Anyone ran into this
Im putting my double springs in. The valve seals that came with my comp kit dont have the lower portion on them like the factory ones. It looks like the factory seal acted as the valve seat. Anyone ran into this
The double spring kits we've used like comp, Prc and Lunati have the small seal with no seat but they provide a new seat that is installed before the seal. I guess your kit didn't come with them. I'm sure you can get some.

From the factory the seal and spring base are one piece on 99% of the LS applications. With any dual spring kit you don't reuse the factory seal/spring base. The dual spring kit should come with a new spring base that will locate the inner and outer spring. And they will also include a new seal to press on over the guide.
