2006 silverado 5.3 what gears should i go with

Im in the build up of my 06 silverado. It is a 2wd 5.3. so far cold air and exhaust is done. I have a pretty big cam being installed soon. I need a stall converter and i want to do away with my
limited slip rear end. I want both to spin not one tire! so what gears should i go with and what stall do you suggest?

What size is the cam and stall, thats the biggest thing to see what gears you need. What about tire size?

Im looking at a 2800 or 3000 circle d stall. The truck will be a daily driver for the most part. the tire size is 285-50-20.
cam is a comp cam. 281/287 gross valve lift intake- .595 exhaust- .605 duration @ .050 is 232/238 lobe separation 113.0

my goal is i want 12s out of this truck. i know it will take way more than what i got so far. any info, hints help out thanks

Minimum I would go with that cam is a 3600. You can use a smaller one, just won't be getting all the potential of the cam.

Yea dude that cam needs more stall than that, and 4:10s is a minimum. And 12s is a pretty easy achievement these days.
