would this cam fit a 5.3?

saw this cam and am curious about it, would it fit/work right in a stock 5.3? of course i know new pushrods and dual springs and tune would be a must along with bigger injectors. also how would it perform? and what size stall would be needed? 3200?

It would be great midrange and upper range. It is a rather large cam for a 5.3, but it isn't massive. That cam works extremely well in the LS1. I wouldn't go lower than a 3400 stall with it.

Of course it will fit. You can run 0.600 + lift if you want. What is the LSA on that cam?

well i figured it would fit cause i read you can run UP TO .640 MAX but then again ive never personally saw a 5.3 with stock heads and block with anything over .600 so i wanted to double check before i looked any further into it. you pick the LSA when you order

Just don't plan on running boost with that cam. Even with a wide LSA, that is a lot of duration.

I dont know that I would say Dont plan on boost with it. The cam that was spec'd for my turbo engine isn't too far off those specs as far as duration and lift goes.

My brother's 5.3 has a similar cam and it pulls hard up top. Plan on shifting around 7000 rpm.

That's probably why you can get away with 220+ duration. The wider LSA helps minimize valve overlap which is what boost doesn't like. I love your sig pic BTW Mark.
