4.3v6 to v8 engine swap on my 2001 gmc ( what engine ?)

I want to swap out my v6 for a v8. What choices do I have when it comes to an LS-1 engine?
Can i use an aluminum block 5.7 and make it work? I know this has probably been beat to death, but before I start on this project I would like to get some options from peoplE who have way more experience than me. Thanks, ANGELO

The swap's impossible just trade it and buy a V8 truck
