Are we able to interchange between manifolds? I want to use a bored out aluminum block & the low compression heads for a turbo setup. Can I use the Corvette intake manifold. Has anybody got any info like this, or any aftermarket twin turbo intercooled setups?

you can use the LS1, LS2, LS6, truck intakes and many aftermarket intakes. There are even intakes to put a carb on an LSx based engine. The choice is your's. The LS6 makes more HP than the LS1 and the LS2 is supposed to make more HP than the LS6. The truck intake is functional too. When using forced induction, I cannot see any benefit of one over the other. Too much boost and you might destroy the composite intake. I think if I were going to push some serious boost I would go with an aluminum intake. The one for the carb sounds really functional and you can use the huge holley four barrel throttle body instead of a 90 or 94 mm throttle body. Of course you'll have to weld fuel injector bosses on the runners but it will be shweet!

Thanks Greg, I'm going for 15lbs max. My intercooler exit necessitates the front opening in the intake manifold.
So I can pick from any of these manifolds, any boosted guys reading this? Is there a better manifold for boost.

    thanks mike

There are a few companies that make an aluminum LS6 type intake...FAST comes to mind. Others are out there, just have to look for them. I see them for sale used on LS1Tech.com quite often.
