Thread: Corsa Exhaust Question

    Thinking of removing Corsa exhaust and going back to stock 2002 tahoe system because 6.0 Lq4 swap is alot louder than 5.3 was. Sounds like I,m at the track when on it, the new power is great. I,m attracting alot of attention and i,m affraid of police action may be coming soon. Is the factory exhaust system going to be as good as corsa cat back system? Is there any power loss from running factory system. Will the stock system be good with a future comp 224 114lsa cam kit also? some one said factory exhaust flowed very well? but just quiet!

    My Corsa is quiet when just cruising around. It is only loud when I romp on it. Keep it on, just keep your foot out of it.

    I highly doubt the factory is better in any way over the Corsa.

    The factory system is probably the most restricting there is.

    My Corsa got very loud/raspy with addition of headers and free flow cats. I have the dual rear outlet sport system. I put in 2 magnflow bullet mufflers in the tailpipes. Quitened it down and sounds very nice.

    where could I put a 3" in the sport tail pipe section? sounds like i have to buy a 6.0 yukon sport exhaust system and sell my 3000 mi 5.3 sport corsa system.

    yeah i notcied when i got the LQ4 that my exhaust is loud at idle, so i can imagine what itll be cruisin arount of at WOT. still in the shop right now, so as soon as it comes outta there ill be looking for a different setup for mine&#33;

    Other guys have put it inline before the muffler with good reported results. They make a 2.5" also I think.

    dude with the LQ4 id recommend a 3 inch exhaust all the way out for better flow

    I am using a 6.0L touring system, so that might be the difference maker. I bet you could swap someone for their touring, everyone seems to want a sport system. But not me.

    I would like to swap or buy a touring system. The Part number I need is 14221 (Touring) 6.0 4x4 Yukon, Denali or Escalade. The system I have is for a 4x4 tahoe 5.3 part number 14232 (sport)
