The TH400 won't require any special mods to make it work with the Gen3 engine. Damnyankee and Mean03 both have done the swaps and its easier than you can believe. You'll need to get a electronic speedometer setup for 40 pulse per rev like they sell at transmissioncenter.net if your trans doesn't have one already. You'll need to have some codes turned off in the PCM so you don't get false error codes.
