    5.3 to 6.0

    i was woundering if i were to swap a 6.0 in place of my 5.3 could i use the 5.3 wiring harness and computer. thanks any help would be great

    Yup very easy. Er as easy and pulling one engine and then installing the same engine back in. You will need an unpdated tune.

    It's akin to putting new tires on of a bigger size. The swap is direct mechanically but for everything to work properly, the computer needs tweaked.

    I was thinking the same thing, but with the xtra cubes the trans. would need an upgrade wouldn't you think?

    most definately!! the 4l60e wont last long stock behind that 6.0 !!!

    I just did the swap last month. Yes everything will swap, hell I still have the stock tune on my computer and it runs fine. Although, it could run 10X's stronger with a tune. If you have any questions man, just pm me....

    thinking about doing the same thing in my '02. What year and model(LQ4 or LQ9) 6.0L did you guys who've done the swap get? also which years 6.0L do you have to get in order for it to be a direct easy swap? Will def be bringing my 4L60E in for a full build to my tranny guy before I do anything...
