    Need help...2/4 drop question

    Im going to lower my truck and im confused on somthing. Do i need the carrier bearing relocater or pinion shims, if so what degree? 99' ECSB

    I am not positive but I dont think a 2/4 drop should affect it! I think you should be ready to roll!

    when I did my 4" drop in the back my kit( Hotchkis 4" Lowering Leaf Pack With Special Carrier Bearing Bracket) came with the carrier bearing relocater, did not have to add shims. no problems drives great

    Yeah, a 2/4 drop should need the shims. If you were going lower, then it would be affected and you would need to adjust a few things. You thinking about spindles up front, hangars out back?

    I decided im going with a 1/2 drop

    i get ALOT of vibration just with the shackles out back, shims maybe?

    Are front coils easy to install?

    I wouldn't bother with a 1-2 drop. What kind of vibration do you have with the shackles? Vibration only during acceleration?

    Why not bother with a 1/2?

    ya, from 20-25 ish the whole truck vibrates...kinda like if the rotors were warped

    If you are gunna drop it--a 1/2 is not noticeable. If you are gunna do it--go with at least a 2/4. Coils are not bad...just getting the upper/lower a-arms back in kinda sucks. You should go have a professional look at it soon if you are getting such bad drivetrain vibration.

    Im taking the shackles off now... i hit a loading dock curb and screwed up the whole right side of my truck, should be getting a new truck soon..this truck has been bad luck =(
