    Another Question about the Crank

Ok. So I have comfirmed from Greg and Thunder that the crank is the old style and wont mate iwht a 60e.

I read on PT.net you can have the old crank shaved down by a machine shop. is this true?

also how much do I need them to shave off so it will make it work for a 60e.

Also I noticed this morning the timing chain sprocket on the crank has 2 gears. I remember min having one gear. Why is this?

And does the gear come off? if it does could we replace it with the grear from the crank on the 4.8?

I'm pretty sure all the stock chains are single roller so maybe someone put a double on it at some point. I could be wrong.

Yes. So will that just come off and the sprocket that is on the 4.8 go on it?

You need someone to measure their add-on flywheel spacer and tell you how thick it is. I think I posted the numbers somewhere in my 80e conversion topic if I could find it.

I looked through your started threads, but not sure which one your talking about? I can't just cut it off with a sawsaw? Haha doubt that would work.

Would it not make sense to buy main studs too so they can be reused?

Quik, you misunderstood. I meant that for any reason the crank comes out, doesn't it make sense to get studs so they can be reused....

    Sorry for the confusion.
