    Tranny cooler fittings

I'm putting a 5.3l in an '85 4x4 frame and I've got a radiator out of a 2000 Silverado. The fittings in the radiator for the tranny cooler lines are a push in style and I'd like to adapt them to use flare fittings. Does anyone know if there are adapters to do this that are readily available?

    Thanks,
    Gus

Gus I looked around on the internet and didn't find anything..you may want to cal hayden @ 800-433-7508
couldn't you get two short pieces of line from a junk yard that fits into the 2000 radiator and flare the other end ...then you could use an adapter between the old and new. or maybe they make a slip on compression style coupler that would slide over both lines... but that would probably only work if the OD is the same between the two line

I was out in the shop this morning and took the push in fittings out of the radiator and low and behold they are just an adapter screwed into the cooler, and I just need to screw a common 3/8" flare fitting into the radiator in place of the adapter that GM uses.
