    Ok guys,
Almost got my truck up and running but I cant figure out what do with the exhaust.. Its got the stock manifolds on it and I cant find the flanges that bolt up to the manifold (y-pipe) anywhere.. I think on the ls1 the cat bolted directly to the manifold.. I dont think you can buy used cats at a junkyard.. I dont want spend a lot of money on the S & P headers.. Any ideas??

Find you a shop that specializes in F-body performance. They've almost always got a y-pipe or two laying around from a header install job. I've picked up two of them for free, complete with cats, from one of my local shops.

The flanges you need are part of the pre-cats. The Y-pipe bolts up to the aft side of the pre-cats, there is a somewhat male/female flange set-up at the aft connection. My swap (doner) came with the pre-cats and now with "Reds" answer (thank you) I too will look to my local muff shop for the Y-pipe. It will be a temporary set-up for now.

    check your local dealership.
warrenty cat replacements come with new collectors attached and the
older ones are scrapped... see if theyd section them from the
converters... thats where i got mine...
