ok so i went a local speed shop where i live. i asked the guy for prices on underdrive pulleys. he then asked me if my truck was a daily driver i told him yes. then he goes on to tell me that underdrive pulleys aren't recommended for daily drivers, because they will take away power to run the electronics. he told me my lights will go dim and my stereo won't play as loud. is he right? because i've had my mind set on buying them and now i might not.....HELP

hmmm i dont know foresure but i would think having UD pully small than stock pullys that the crank would turn more rpms in terms everything else would also rotate at a faster pace so with this said i dont see how you would loose voltage to a sterio or head lights.. now i can see if you have a weak alternator or something with smaller UD pully.

I've heard of that, but getting an alternator pulley should fix that problem

Smaller crank pulley means you need to buy a smaller alternator pulley to keep up the alternator RPMs.

if you get the underdrive pulleys you need to get a small alternator pulley.

    Cool

Yup, get the 1.75" alt pulley and you'll be fine.

Yeah, ASP is the brand I used. I'm with VV8, I've had them for 2 years as a daily driver and love them. They free up the motor pretty well. I noticed an increase from the torque department. And that is always welcome...
