    It wont show any improvement will it considering there stock right? Will it just drop compression?

    I believe the 4.8 and 5.3 use the exact same head
    01-06 casting 862 in/ex Vol(cc) 200/70cc -----ComChmb(cc)61.15

    awww that sucks i got a pair just laying around in my storage facilty that we took off a van. I knew there were couple things that can be interchangable between them just didnt know the heads were the same.


    What size valves do you think I can put in them I&#39;m wanting to fully port and polish them? Can i go with a 2.05 intake with the factory heads or is that to big? What size exhaust size should i look into? Any help is appericated. I want the most i can push out of the factory heads.

    Grab the heads get them milled to run 10.5:1 Compression and get a mild port & polish.
    Add a Z06 cam, LS6 intake, 3,000-3,500 stall, 1 5/8" Long tube headders w/full exaust 2.5", pcm tune & 4.11 gears w/ posi.
    You won&#39;t be sorry
