Thread: Which exhaust manifolds?

My 2000 ls1 came w/ the stock exhaust manifolds, but I'm ditching the EGR. I was going to plug the ports, but there is a stud snapped off on each manifold, so I want to get some new ones.

Is there any year manifold that does not have any ports for EGR or anything else? What about the LS2 manifolds? Will they work for a swap into a '91 c1500?

Also, where is everyone getting exhaust flanges to fab up your exhaust? I'm not having much luck finding them.

thanks
'91 chev. Reg. Cab SB. Frame off, escalade clip, ART F&R susp., SSBC rear disks, SSBC Force 10 front kit, Auburn LSD, '00 LS1 and 4l60e. Almost all done!

You might want to try out a set of 6.0 truck manifolds unless you buy some headers from S&P.

The 6.0 manifolds on the newer 6.0's look like what I would like.

Which headers does S&P have that fit? I didn't see a header for my truck in their catalog.

I'll sell you my 1998 Fbody manifolds for $50 plus shipping. I welded them up to block off the EGR crap and welded a new location for the 02 sensor on the passenger side so that it's in the manifold. These fit nice in the 93 Xcab truck with an LS1. The S&P headers are nice and Nitrous can tell you exactly which pair to get so that they fit nicely. Nobody makes a set of LT headers for our trucks yet. I ended up making a set of my own from a set of BBC headers. Took about 28 hours of work time to do it all, not recommended for a novice such as myself.

I don't know, it might be easier to put your manifolds on. LOL

Any idea if a set of f-body shorty headers would fit? Or how about a set of 6.0 truck shorty headers?

Either shorty should fit but if you go that expensive, you might as well get the S&P mid length pipes. The shorties are just a stock factory replacement that bolts to the factory exhaust system.
