    More options for conversions

    hey guys,
we have this section dedicated for conversions, but do we need more?
i don't wanna complicate things, but i wanna be sure the site is catered a bit more towards conversions; being that's how this site got started.

i don't wanna flood it with too many confusing sub forums, but any suggestions will be looked at.
    thanks,
    allen

Honestly I don't feel that you do. The only thing that I can see that would help is if you could do a search for a three letter item and have it come up. For example 5.3 cam comes back with no results. A better search function would help more than splitting conversions further and would be beneficial to the rest of the forum.

Something that will help the search database as well is, be aware of what is posted and think about what you would be wanting to search for.
For example, tranny ( i need to do a sub word for this one) doesn't do anything, how about transmission. and for dtc's, P0171 is correct.
I see a lot of abbreviations and shortcuts that we use that aren't really pratical.

I'll check into the search options, I know 5.3 doesn't do anything and isn't really helpful anyway. But we shortcut a lot of words that are 3 letters or less.

True we do shorten terms, O2, tps, map etc but these are terms that are used in our hobby/industry. Very rare would someone spell out those trems. It isn't just this site, so it may be something that can't easily be overcome. This is a great site though, please don't think that I don't appreciate it, especially being a newbie here.

What about the 0411 pcm swap for the 96-99 454's? Or even for the L31? And you can tune them. I know there is a lot of information out there on this swap.

They have the 24x and 58x systems, it would give the 454 a coil near plug.
