    catalytic converter removal

I was wondering if I would benifit any from having my catalytic converters removed or is it not worth the hassle. I do plan on buying longtubes and an offroad Y pipe in a few months. I just curious so I thaught I would ask .

I would remove them, as far as power gains it's not much. Eventually they will either break inside and blow out the exhaust or they will become restricted

Some get codes some don't, you should invest in a tune. Not trying to sell you on anything but it will wake the truck up, be better for when you swap out exhaust, and you can just have the rear o2s turned off...
