    opinions wanted on stall and gears

    I ran my truck on the strip stock with cold air and muffler delete ran 15.9 I was wondering how much would a stall and gears help and which is the best way to go I'm a ecsb 5.3 2005 silverado future mods are cam headers true duals intake TB and maybe spray wanting low 13s in quater in time

    I ran a 14.6 on a n2o tune at the Ls1 shootout. Ran a 13.2 with a 150 n2o. Mods are in sig.
    2000*GMC longtubes nelson tune, built trans,trutrac circle d 278 mm stall 373 posi,100 shot of dope and 228 232 588 595 cam.

    I had planned to throw. 3200-3600 stall in how will this afect in town driving and what. Gears would give me what I need 373 ,410,ect I would like to keep it some what highway friendly but at this point I need my rpms up when I hit the end of the quarter I was just shifting the 3rd right before the line

    Driveability will come down to how well it is tuned. My guess is stock you have 3.42s? Check the RPO codes in your glove box. I would go 4.10s to stay reasonable on the highway, but still help you move out. With 4.10s and a 3600 stall I bet you could drop a little more than a second in the 1/4. High 14s are not out of the question. You will want a good custom tune. Where do you live?

    You are not very far from several big name tuners including NP in San Antonio.
