So would i have to run the stock computer also?
you would have to retain the factory AC activation circuit (which would come from the truck side, may or may not use the factory ECU in a way you need.. example bumping up idle) I'm no expert here as I'm deleting AC in my swap since its already non-functional anyway), the gauges run off of sensors that can be re-used from the factory engine without needing the ECU. You will need physical adapters in order to connect them to the block though.
I'm in the process too and keeping my ac on my 94, I talked it over with Jon and he added a trigger wire on my new harness for when I activate ac so that my idle will not be affected,, I'm not sure yet where to wire this in yet as I have yet to get the harness in and look things over, I'm hoping he may include an instruction where to wire in the trigger wire
I believe on a 99-02 ECU it will be pin 17 on the red connector, Dark Green with White tracer. No idea if it needs 12v+, 5v+, ground, or what. If I remember correctly this wire was connected originally to D3 on the C2 connector. Don't quote me on that though. The other possiblility is B5 on the C2 connector, this is a Lt Blu wire.

Thanks for the help guys! Im tearing into somemore on thurs, had to take a break. A little frustrated ha
Yes, jon from nelson is who I was referring to, try not to get frustrated, if you have the tools and take your time and with the help from a friend or two plus the info on this site it should not be too hard to get the swap completed
Yeah i hear ya man, getting the main wiring done for the motor isnt too bad, its just the gauges im worried about, everything else is going pretty smoothly, i just want to make sure the temp gauge works so i dont trash the motor overheating it ha. Thanks for all help guys!
