will the flexplate from a 2001 5.3 truck engine work on an earlier model ls1 car engine ?

yes if its the right flex plate from the same trans like 4l60e

I was told the motor was from a 1999/2000, I'm in the process of trying to run some of the numbers off the engine now. I was just concerned that the flexplate or torque converter could be different from car to truck.
