yea that trans will work fine. you need tlo get a flywheel spacer and slot the holes on the flywheel so they line up with the torque converter. the spacer will go betwwen the flywheel and torque converter.

wow really? so the electrical plug isnt an issue? will the converter out of a 2002 4l60e work in the older 4l60e?
so no tuning to the ecm or anything is needed?

you would probably be better off using the flywheel from the 5.3. simpply take a dremel or die grinder and make the holes a little longer. i did about a 1/4 inch on each hole and it lined up fine. i got my spacer and bolts from jegs

and dont forget the longer bolts

the spacer will go on the transmission side of the flywheel before the torque converter.

    that's a 700r4. Personally I wouldn't go through the frustration of using one in a Gen3 truck.
