Help! oil pan for lowered 1990

My truck has a 4-6 drop. Will an f-body pan be a ready to go set-up, or will it have to be modded to clear everything. Just trying to get more ground clearance. Thanks.

Thats what I ran on my 92 with a 4/6 drop and never had any problems with clearance.

I think GM sells a conversion oil pan kit.

Thanks for the added info. I called SD and I was told that p/n is just for 70s muscle car swaps. The 1998-2002 f-body pan is different,at least thats what was told to me. Too bad, cause for 145 bucks thats a smokin deal!

It's the same kit that I used in my '93....as mentioned in reply to Mikesz's post on 12-15-11.....not just for musclecar appl.........use it wherever you can fit a Hummer pan......get it from ANY dealer that will take the time to order it for you.............

Thanks, I found Mikesz"s post, lots of good info. The f-body pan will fit with plenty of clearance, but from what I read the motor has to be moved back to clear the x member. Does that mean the driveshaft will have to be modified? The hummer pan might be the way to go if the whole deal would drop right in with no mods. I'm using dirty dingo mounts in a 1990 x-cab short bed,5.3,4l60e. Thanks for the help.
