Prefered donor vehicle

Hi everyone,
Long time lurker and first post, I've learned a lot on here and love the site! I will be doing an LS swap in my '93 Ex cab stepside next year, I bought the truck new and don't plan on getting rid of it so,,,,,,,,

This gives me time to find a proper donor. The question is, other than the obvious escalade and 2500hd trucks, what about Trailblazer SS' or SSR's, Camaro's etc?

Would the harnesses and transmission connections be too different?
