it will be but the first step is to go to your referee station and get all the information you will need to do it properly. As long as the engine is the same year or newer and came from an emissions controlled vehicle you will be fine. If the exhaust manifolds you use have an EGR port you will have to install the EGR. Get a later engine that wasn't equipped with EGR and no ugly EGR will need to be installed. Be sure you get the wiring harness and correct PCM from the donor vehicle. Get every nut, bolt, belt, hose and item that was bolted to the engine from the salvage yard as possible to save expense and tell them to cut nothing. You'll also need to get an OBDII connection to mount in the vehicle so they can plug in and make sure all items are functioning correctly. Some will simply put you up on the rollers and do a tailpipe emissions test while driving on the rollers under load at a controlled speed.
