    what am i looking at as far as costs?

    i have an 01 silverado 5.3 auto and my buddy has an ls1 out of an 04 vette that has been sitting for about 6 months the motor was going to go in a 74 nova. my friends wants me to put the ls1 with a t56 in my truck(so the motor is used)...what am i looking at as far as costs?

    no i am just borrowing the engine and tranny while he finds a 66 chevlle or 63 convert. impala..

    lol i appreciate the concern, but i wont keep it....while the 5.3 is out im gonna build it or im gonna punch it out to ls1/ls6 specs and turbo it, im gonna run a t56 anyways so whatever work i do that pertains to the tranny such as getting a new cross member....any info on the cost for running an ls1/ t56?

    Hey that sounds like a good plan! Im lookin for a low mileage 5.3 to cam out and put some good heads on.
