Hey guys, any advice on engine codes that are best for an engine swap? I want to put a 6.0 or 6.2 into a 79 Chevy pickup with a 5 speed manual. I'd probably just put a different cam in and do some tuning so my wife isn't afraid to drive it.

For 6.0's is there much differnce between LQ9 and L76? Stay away from the cylinder deactivation on L76?

I found a fair number of 6.2's around the country, I imagine they respond well to a cam. Any insight there?

This thing is getting painted right now. Hopefully next summer I'll have budget for a motor. Trying to figure out what I want now. Thanks!
