Hey guys. I'm wanting to swap a 5.3 out of a 2001-up pickup into my Dad's 89 GMC 1500. My question is on the VATS system. If i get the computer and engine harness will I still have to deal with it? I'm going to get a complete pull out. The engine, tranny, exhause system, harness, ecm, and all acc. I'm just wondering about the VATS system I keep reading about. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!!
Get Allen at NelsonPerformance.com, site host, to program the VATS out of the PCM and you will have no more problems. Get the performance tune from him and you will not regret it plus get lifetime updates on all your upgrades. Check out his website for details.

Had a 91 SB, Open diff, 3.08 gears, stock LS1/T56. 14.8@95.9...sold.
Now, 90 C1500 350tbi/NV3500....just bought a 5.3...need T56, Swap parts.....
