    MBRP Inc.+GM Canada=a projected 1000hp Colorado(LS7 inside)

(This will be the official thread following this build, don't forget to subscribe to it)

I am super excited to say that I just got off the phone with MBRP Inc. Performance Exhaust in regards to their projected 1000hp Chevrolet Colorado, that is being done in collaboration with GM Canada. The project is called "Colorado SPEED"!

"Yes we are building a DRIFT Colorado with GM right now. In fact this one is much more than just DRIFT...... we are looking to build a project that will be able do several different styles of racing well. Our aim is to supply GM with a cool drift truck but also build the truck in a way that we can take the truck to a couple high mile per hour events like the " Texas Mile" events and "The Silverstate Classic" road race events, we will drag this truck at a few tracks across North America as well. We will be trying to turn a low 10 sec pass. One last goal for this project is to be able to cruise the highway all day with the tunes and AC cranked all the while turning close to 20 MPG....... with upwards of 1000HP under the hood."

They have been working on the LS7 engine they dropped in the Colorado to handle 22lbs of boost, with their pro-charger set up.

MBRP is one of the leading exhaust manufacturers for diesel engines in the industry, and I have been told they are looking to expand to other markets in the "car/truck scene". I am super excited to say that I will soon be the proud owner of a MBRP exhaust set up for my Colorado, which I will record sound clips and take pictures for you all to see.

I have been emailed pics and such to show to you all. And I have also been given permission to answer any questions you guys may have in regards to the project. So please don't hesitate to ask. And if I don't readily know the answer, I will do my best to find out for you.

These are some engine pics as ell as some rough framing pics (taken from a friends shop, not MBRP's actual location).

    Colorado SPEED official Rendering

Just in case someone wants to order a LS7, here is the part number.

    Ya right!

One crate LS7, a special "Thanks" to GM Parts

LS7 installed........ looks like this engine bay was built for a V8

I'll have more pics later of the framework being done.

Carter is the man. He did the renderings for my buddies pending project dubbed 'SwingSet' & we've hung out @ several events/shows. Very humble guy.

That is bada$$, what do they got planned for the suspension? I like the front valence, but best of all is the drivetrain LOL just with the 5.3 those things are crazy, I can only imagine the acceleration in such a light truck.
