stock 243s with stock head gaskets give you a 10:3:1 roughly
mill them .020-.025 thats 10:5:1 roughly. they flow better than those 317s
if your wanna spend 300+ on stock heads plus another 150-250 on mill work, cleaned heads an such then go 243s but id rather just mill the 317s .030 or whatever to give you w.e compression you want. be careful not to mill too much or youll have problems making your intake fit
