    Newbe from Baytown tx

    Hello guys, iam from Baytown tx 30 miles east of Houston.... I got a turd 96 rcsb 2/4 drop... Y pipe to a 3" flowmaster turned out the side (no cat) bucket seats.... Did have a 7" DVD player with a kicker amp and to 8" kicker subs but some POS need it more then me I guess stolen a month ago!!!

    Plans are to pull the tired ole 6 out an put a new v8 out of a 98 truck. Motor will have
    6" scat full floating rods
    SRP forged flat top pistons
    muther thumper cam
    roller rockers
    stock crank
    stock intake
    stock vortec heads (maybe)

    What is ^^^ that going to cost you? You may not want to hear this but, just get a 5.3/4l60e or a 6.0/4l80e combination. You will be better off with one of those. Being that this is LS1Truck.com the majority of people on here have GEN III or Gen IV engines, that is what will be the most common reply to your choice of engines. Welcome to the site, you will get lots of help here with the swap, if that is what you decide to do.
