    What cam 4 me?

    Im in the process of installing a FLT lvl4 trans with a Yank ss3600 into my 5.3 s10. I was thinking it would be the right time to install my cam as well. The truck is a reg. cab weighing about 3500lbs with me in it. The setup includes:
    >Ls6 intake manifold, CAI, ported TB
    >Sanderson shorties, X-pipe, dualindualout muffler(no cats)
    >3.42 gears, A.R. Irocs 18"x8", Nitto555(275/40/18)(rear),
    >50,75 or 100 dry shot
    I was looking into the TR-220/220 112 because of the great numbers and ETs that 5.3s are putting out with this cam, but Im now looking into a custom grind to make sure it will match my setup and make the most power without going over board for a daily diver.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    A DD with a 3600 stall?

    Well, since you have the supporting mods to go with a decent sized cam, I am gunna recommend one that I know can put down some awesome numbers:

    234/236 .592/.598 112+3 LSA.

    2000 ECSB 6.0L

    Dave at Yank told me that 3600 should stall at about 3200 with my setup..really hoping it drives well on the street.. and yea i will give Allen a shout and see what he can do

    yeah i'd see what allen says, and then get that badboy retuned...with a 3600 stall you should be able to go bigger than a tr220, and a 112 lsa no problem.

    I daily drive my truck with an ss3600 converter. Doesn't do bad at all.

    That's about the same as the cam I put in my brother's Chevelle. What rpm does it pull to?

    I have seen it pull well to 7100 rpms in an LS1..AND in a 5.3L. On a truck intake.
